Meet Ron Otten

Ronald Otten is originally from Holland. In 2004, while searching for a different direction in life, he discovered Belize and decided to experience the country for himself. What began as a change soon became something much more permanent: Belize became home.

For Ron, the appeal was not complicated. He found a place where life moved at a slower, more relaxed pace, where people were friendly and helpful, and where there was plenty of sunshine. More than two decades later, Belize remains home.

Ron’s Belize Shuttles is personal by nature. Ron runs the shuttle service together with his stepdaughter, Sheree, combining a family connection with the kind of direct attention that can make travelling in an unfamiliar country feel much easier.

Sheree has become part of the experience in her own right. Travelers often remember the conversation, the information shared about Belize and the willingness to adjust when travel plans change. Together, Ron and Sheree bring a human side to private shuttle transportation that goes beyond simply completing a route.
